Photography offers me a way to share my creative vision of surroundings, objects, nature and places. In an instant, through the lens of my camera and a fragment of exposure, I am able to make real and visible what others may only sense or never give a second glance or a moment’s reflection.
When I see something that captures my attention, I take time to study it. I look for all the possibilities. The angles, the light, the texture – anything to influence the emotion I want my photograph to stir. I like the seductive and dramatic effects of fog and mist, or the juxtaposition of nature in an urban setting.
I enjoy searching for new images, be it on my block in Baltimore City or in exotic foreign place. During the past several years, I have had the opportunity to photograph in Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, Greece, China and Cuba. In between trips I enjoy the beauty of the mid-Atlantic
seaboard for my creative inspiration.
