Art has always been a way for me to connect to the environment around me, it gave me the gift of attention. When I was younger, I always kept a sketchbook. The opportunity to sketch always kept me mindful of my surroundings, not wanting to let an interesting subject or scenery slip by me.
Sketching heightened my observation and appreciation of people and the human figure, seemingly mundane activities could be captured and transformed into something beautiful. When I began gifting my paintings to friends and family it filled me with so much joy, I knew I wanted to do that on a larger scale.
I hope to make art that enriches the homes and spaces of others and excites their own sense of creativity, which I believe exists in every one of us. I believe Art can help us all slow down and enjoy life.
